:: Ingredients for Chole – Punjabi Style
Chole – 200 grams
Oil 4 tb sp.
Tomatoes 1 medium chopped
Onion 2 medium chopped
Bay leaf 1
Chilli powder 1 tb sp.
Coriander powder 2 tb sp.
Cumin powder ½ tsp.
Ginger 1 tsp.
Garlic 1 tsp.
Green Chili 1 small, chopped
Garam Masala 2 tsp
Salt to taste

:: How to make Chole – Punjabi Style
1. Soak chole for overnight (you can add little soda bi-
carb for more softness)
2. Pressure cook the chole strain and keep aside.
3. Heat oil in a kadai, add bayleaf and chopped onion
4. Cook until onion is golden brown
5. Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli, cook a little.
6. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and cumin
powder cook till the flavour
comes
7. Add the chopped tomatoes
8. Once the tomatoes are cooked, add the cooked chole,
salt and add about 1 cup
of water.
9. Cover and Cook on a medium flame for about 5 to 10
minutes.
10. Add garam masala.
11. Garnish with Onion slices, Green chili, lemon wedges
and serve hot.
