:: Ingredients for Buttermilk Gravy (Morkhuzhambu)
Grated coconut- 1 tsp
Green chilies- 2
Cumin seeds
Ginger- 1 small piece
Garlic -1
Yoghurt or Buttermilk- 1 cup
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Onion- 1 (chopped)
Red chilli -2
:: How to make Buttermilk Gravy (Morkhuzhambu)
Grind green chilies, ginger, garlic ,cuminseeds and grated
coconut into a smooth
paste.
Mix this paste with the beaten yoghurt or butter milk. Add
turmeric powder &
salt. Mix well. Set aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and red chillie, When
it starts to pop . Add
onions and fry until golden. Then pour the yoghurt
mixture. Stir in low
flame,When it starts to boil turn off the flame. Serve
with rice.
